To reconstruct the cellar windows, the surviving ca. 1764 examples were studied and their exact dimensions and construction details were recorded. After the drawings were made, restoration carpenter and furniture maker Blaise Gaston reproduced the windows using both recycled heart pine and walnut to match the woods used for the original ca. 1764 windows.
