When the evidence of the two abandoned chimney bases was compared to the surviving ca. 1764 chimney bases found on the cellar's south end it was found that the south side was almost identical to the remains of the chimney bases on the north end. After looking at the surviving bases, it was discovered that the additional chimney bases originally meant to support the fireplace hearths for the ca. 1764 Parlor and Back Room. However, because both the ca. 1764 Parlor and Back Room were demolished in ca. 1812 when the Drawing Room was created, the existing bases for their chimneys were no longer needed.
