To discover the size and location of the Madison window openings, fragments of the ca. 1764 window jambs and paint ghosts were carefully recorded with photos and drawings.  However, if no evidence of the ca. 1764 window openings was found, then the dimensions for the missing opening were copied exactly from a surviving 1764 opening.
