After the drawing was complete and the existing paneling analyzed, it was possible for the Restoration Team to start placing the panels back into their Madison-era locations.  Just the size of the panel sections was often enough to get a general idea of where they were located in ca. 1812.  However, before the wainscot could be reinstalled, additional evidence was needed to confirm that the panels were undeniably in their correct ca. 1812 locations.
