Similarly, on the eastern, or rear, elevation Dinsmore and Neilson inserted three triple-sash windows and added a fairly elaborate doorway (called a venetian doorway for its three-part form), to the second floor. As with the façade, the effect was to unify the elevation and provide a focal point.
