Montpelier's curators are currently working with experts in late 18th and early 19th century wallpapers to determine the exact patterns that could have possibly been used by the Madisons.  Once their investigation is completed, a reproduction wallpaper will be made and the walls of the Drawing Room will once again be covered in a bright red flocked wallpaper.
