To determine an accurate date for the curtain pin holes, paint samples from the room’s trim were taken.  A paint chronology was then developed for the room, giving the Restoration Team an approximate date for each layer of paint.  After the chronology was developed, samples taken from each of the different curtain pin locations could then quickly narrow down the date range for each pin hole.
